On my first day at IMS, I was entering a completely unfamiliar boarding school environment. The prefects were some of the first students to approach me. They helped carry my belongings, showed me around campus, and made me feel welcome at a time when everything was new to me.

That experience stayed with me, and I began hoping that one day I could do the same for younger students. Only a year later, I now have the opportunity to become a boarding prefect myself. I am excited to welcome new students who may be feeling the same uncertainty I felt when I first arrived and to give them the same sense of belonging that others gave me.
